Kouros is a major sponsor of the ambitious Andros Routes project.

Andros is the northernmost and one of the largest and most environmentally-diverse islands of the Cyclades archipelago.

Andros Routes is a community initiative set up to develop sustainable tourism on the island by restoring, waymarking and maintaining the ancient, 300km-long network of paths for hiking and self-guided walking adventures. For centuries, the stone-paved trails were the main routes of commerce, communication, and transportation between the island’s 84 villages. Among them, is the  Andros Route: a 100km-long trail from north to south, that usually takes walkers 10 days to complete. In 2015, the European Ramblers’ Association certified the Andros Route as one of Europe’s Leading Quality Trails – Best of Europe.

Our company offered the wayfinding system, consisting of hundreds of wooden signs and signposts, as well as directional decals, for all 300km of the island’s trails and assistance with the maintenance of the footpaths.
